Procurement Manager Procurement Manager; Remote​/Home based Closing date

The OPA are looking to appoint an additional Procurement Manager, preferably based near to their Head Office in Gosport, Hampshire, or our OFD (Oil Fuel Depot) at Thanckes, Torpoint, Cornwall, or Garelochhead, Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, where their new Finnart OFD is located. OPA will also consider applications for Remote / Home based. This newly created role will primarily focus on managing the procurement activities for our new Finnart OFD at Helensburgh, including contract administration, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, services, and works in line with UK public procurement regulations, specifically the Public Procurement Regulations 2023 to support OPA business requirements and ensure contracts are effectively managed to maximise value for money from our suppliers.

Working in a busy and demanding Procurement function, the successful postholder will be part of a team providing procurement services for the OPA, who manage fueling assets and sites on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. It is essential to maintain and develop strong positive working relationships with all stakeholders within the Agency, as well as our external suppliers.

Occasional travel to our UK sites will be a feature of this role, with some overnight stays depending on your location. Therefore, a full (preferably clean) driving licence is essential for the successful candidate.
