Head of Financial Operations

Our client is seeking a strategic and operational leader to serve as the Head of Financial Operations , operating entirely remotely. This senior role is responsible for the oversight and management of all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial systems. You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, implementing best practices, and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial processes.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned financial operations expert with strong leadership capabilities, adept at managing distributed teams and optimizing financial workflows in a remote setting.

• Lead and manage the financial operations function, including accounting, treasury, and financial systems.
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance operations team.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals in a remote environment.

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA(SA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial operations and accounting management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing finance teams, preferably in a remote or distributed setting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), internal controls, and financial systems (ERP).
