Project & Program Management, IT Project Manager, Operations Management
Next Amp is an AI consulting and implementation firm that helps insurance carriers, MGAs, and brokers put AI to work in their core operations and engineering teams.
About the roleA large enterprise client is running a program to clear a substantial backlog of security findings across its application estate. Several groups are involved: the client's own application teams, other delivery partners, and Next Amp's AI remediation team, which builds reusable AI-assisted fixes that other teams apply across many repositories and resolves vulnerabilities directly in the applications assigned to it.
As program manager, you make the whole effort run as one program. You build the structure, keep every team moving against a shared plan, chase down dependencies, and make progress and accountability visible to the client's leadership.
Who this role is forA program manager who understands technology, not a technologist who does some project management. You can hold credible conversations with engineers and security reviewers, but you don't write the code; your strengths are structure, detail, and communication. We need someone who sets the cadence and drives outcomes across teams they don't directly manage.
What you'll do- Stand up the program in the first weeks: an inventory of in-scope applications with owners and points of contact, the information needed from each team, and a kickoff plan that defines who owns what
- Lead stakeholder conversation with a plan, not open-ended questions: what we know, what we need, and how we propose to proceed
- Work daily with the client's program manager, and run the working cadence across application teams and delivery partners so they report into a single program view
- Build and maintain the program tracker and dashboard, covering fix patterns in progress, pull requests raised, adoption by client teams, and vulnerabilities resolved
- Keep the risk and dependency log current, and raise blockers early, such as pull requests waiting on another team or patterns not yet adopted, with a proposal to resolve them
- Coordinate Next Amp's engineers across US and India time zones so their work lines up with client priorities and the program's phases
- Keep work in the client's ticketing and assignment system (Service Now) consistent with the program plan
- Prepare concise, executive-ready updates for the client sponsor and steering meetings, with clear ownership of every outcome
