Our client is looking for a seasoned and results-oriented Drilling Operations Manager to lead their remote drilling operations. This position is critical for overseeing the planning, execution, and safety of all drilling campaigns, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations across various project sites. You will be responsible for managing drilling teams, budgets, and resources from a remote setting, leveraging technology to maintain high standards of performance and safety.
This role requires exceptional leadership, strong technical acumen, and the ability to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence in a fully remote context.
- Develop and implement comprehensive drilling plans and operational procedures.
- Manage and optimize drilling budgets, resource allocation, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all drilling activities.
- Supervise and mentor remote drilling crews and field personnel, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Monitor drilling progress, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including management, regulatory bodies, and service providers, to ensure project success.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex drilling projects safely and efficiently.
- In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Proficiency in drilling simulation software and remote monitoring tools.
