PMP Project Manager - Communications Projects; remote

Remote position

Pay: $70-80/hour W2 only

Duration: 6 months with extensions based on performance and headcount approvals.

Candidates with experience supporting or working within 9-1-1 operations environments will be viewed favorably.

• Manage the full project lifecycle from Initiation through Closing following PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) standards.
• Responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication, and successful project execution.

• Develop and implement a Master Project Plan using automated project management tools.
• Define and manage the project charter, scope, and integrated change control processes.
• Maintain an understanding of organizational workflows to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Conduct scheduling reviews and track progress against established baselines.
• Ensure project milestones and deliverables are completed according to the project lifecycle.

• Manage project budgets, including labor and capital expenditures.
• Monitor revenue recognition, margins, and cash flow.
• Perform project cost analysis and provide status updates to management.
• Ensure projects remain within approved financial constraints.

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks.
• Develop and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Escalate significant risks and issues and recommend recovery plans as needed.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Master Scheduler experience
• Advanced Smart Sheets experience
• Software Proficiency
• Smart Sheets
• Google Applications Suite

• 4 to 7 years of Project Management experience.
• Experience managing projects using PMBOK methodologies.
• Experience developing project schedules and WBS structures.
• Experience managing project budgets and financial performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience with Public Safety communications systems.
• Understanding of local public safety entities, including Police, Fire, and EMS.
• Experience with cloud-based document management and collaboration tools (Google Workspace).
• Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management applications.
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed master project schedules.
