Legal Counsel

Viridor's vision is clear: to be the UK's leading innovator in resource recovery and recycling, transforming waste into opportunity and driving a climate-positive future. With a refreshed purpose, bold ambition and a market-leading strategy, we are investing heavily in growth - and building a team of exceptional people who believe in each other and in a world where nothing goes to waste.

As part of this continued expansion, we are delighted to offer a new opportunity for a Commercial In-House Legal Counsel to join our high-performing legal team.

Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel, you will play a central role in supporting Viridor's commercial operations with a particular focus on drafting, negotiating and managing commercial contracts across our fuel supply operations and Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities.

You will work closely with commercial, operational, procurement and senior management teams, delivering pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a c2-4 PQE lawyer seeking to accelerate their in-house career within the energy, infrastructure, sustainability and circular economy sectors.

This is an exciting moment to become part of Viridor. The business is scaling, the strategy is ambitious and the culture is collaborative, supportive and forward-thinking. You'll gain exposure to high-value, strategically important commercial work while contributing to a sector with genuine environmental impact.
