Regional Logistics Manager

Our client, a national provider of specialized goods distribution, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Regional Logistics Manager to oversee operations in Bloemfontein, Free State

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies for the Bloemfontein region to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee all aspects of regional warehousing, including inventory management, stock control, and facility optimization.
• Manage and optimize transportation networks, including route planning, fleet utilization, and carrier management.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers and internal stakeholders across the Free State province.
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards within the logistics operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to align logistics with business objectives.
• Manage operational budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
• Implement and leverage technology solutions to improve logistics visibility and control.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing regional logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, and inventory management principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with various logistics software and systems (WMS, TMS, ERP).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is essential.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a remote team effectively.
• Must have a strong internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
