Business Unit Controller at AG Barr Group

Lead Morrisons’ Soft Drinks portfolio, driving strategic growth and managing profit and loss (P&L) across all sub-categories.

Develop and execute long-term joint growth strategies for Morrisons and AG Barr.

Coordinate Category Management, Brand Activation, Digital and Supply Chain teams to deliver business plans.

Drive profitable and sustainable growth across Stores, Express, Online and Q-Commerce channels.

Build strategic partnerships and comprehensive joint business plans.

Manage monthly forecasting, financial reporting and annual business projections using relevant market data.

Coach and develop a high-performing team through continuous feedback and development planning.

Own the overall P&L and deliver sales, profitability and growth targets.

Lead strategic account planning and strengthen relationships with Morrisons’ key stakeholders.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement commercial and brand growth initiatives.

Monitor performance, prepare forecasts and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Use market insights and data from Quantium, Kantar and Circana to guide business decisions.

Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring and performance management.

Proven leadership experience with a track record of delivering strong business results.

Significant FMCG experience; grocery or impulse-category experience is an advantage.

Strong people management, coaching and team-development skills.

Understanding of category-led selling and strategic business planning.

Experience managing senior-level internal and external relationships.

Train Managers

Ability to influence decision-makers and present effectively at different organisational levels.

Strong IT skills, including CRM systems, forecasting tools and Google Workspace.

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Willingness to work in a field-based role.
