We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager with a proven track record of leading complex, high-value infrastructure programmes. The ideal candidate will have strong programme governance, controls, planning, scheduling, cost, risk and change management capabilities, combined with excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Lead the successful delivery of a major, high-value infrastructure programme, providing strategic programme management, governance and control on behalf of the client. Establish and maintain robust programme governance, reporting, assurance and decision‑making processes to support effective delivery across multiple work streams. Oversee programme controls including schedule management, cost management, forecasting, risk, change, dependencies and performance reporting. Work closely with the client, delivery partners, consultants and stakeholders to drive progress, resolve issues and maintain alignment across the programme.
Provide clear, evidence‑based reporting and advice to senior stakeholders, enabling timely decisions and effective management of programme risks and opportunities. Identify and manage critical path activities, constraints and interfaces to minimise delays and protect key programme outcomes. Lead a collaborative, high‑performing programme environment, promoting best practice, continuous improvement and a strong focus on safe, efficient and controlled delivery.
Demonstrable experience leading high‑value, complex infrastructure programmes, ideally within regulated or operationally complex sectors such as industrial, pharmaceutical, defence, utilities or transport. Strong programme management capability across governance, controls, reporting, risk, change, cost management, forecasting and schedule management. Proven ability to operate as a trusted client‑side advisor, providing clear direction, challenge and assurance to senior stakeholders. Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including clients, consultants, contractors, delivery partners and senior decision makers.
A strong understanding of programme and project life cycles, including business case alignment, procurement, delivery strategy, assurance and benefits‑focused outcomes. Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret cost, schedule and risk data and turn it into actionable insight for senior audiences. Relevant professional qualification or accreditation, such as MSP, APM, ChPP, ChMC, RICS, CEng, P3O or equivalent experience, with the ability to meet client‑specific security or accreditation requirements where required.
