Remote Field Operations Supervisor

Our client, a global leader in the Oil & Gas sector, is actively seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Remote Field Operations Supervisor. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations remotely, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will act as the primary point of contact for field teams, providing guidance, support, and troubleshooting assistance.

• Provide remote supervision and guidance to field operations teams, including technicians and engineers.
• Monitor real-time operational data and performance metrics from remote locations.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with site managers and field personnel to address operational challenges and implement solutions promptly.
• Facilitate communication between field teams, management, and support departments.
• Review and approve operational procedures and work permits.
• Conduct remote inspections and audits of field operations as required.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, developing corrective actions.
• Manage resources and equipment remotely, ensuring optimal utilization.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of operational improvements and best practices.
• Prepare regular reports on field operations status, performance, and key issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and local regulations for the Oil & Gas sector.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical) or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in upstream Oil & Gas field operations.
• Proven experience in supervising field teams and managing operational activities.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas production processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Excellent remote communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams from a distance.
• Proficiency in using remote monitoring tools, data analysis software, and communication platforms.
• Ability to interpret technical data and make informed operational decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
• A proactive approach to safety and compliance.
• Previous experience in a remote or supervisory role is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with operations in coastal or offshore environments near Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal is a plus but not mandatory due to the remote nature of the role.
