Health, Safety, and Environment; HSE) Manager

About the Role Our client, a significant entity in the
** Oil & Gas
** sector, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager. This is a pivotal, fully remote position overseeing the HSE strategy and implementation across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact. We are looking for a proactive leader with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and a passion for promoting a strong safety culture.

This role is critical in safeguarding our workforce, assets, and the environment, driving excellence in all HSE matters from a remote-first perspective.

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's overall HSE strategy and programs.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular HSE audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all levels of staff.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Manage emergency response planning and preparedness.
• Oversee environmental management systems and initiatives.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Champion continuous improvement in HSE performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HSE management within the
  ** Oil & Gas
  ** industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001), and best practices.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead remote teams effectively.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
