Regional Director of Operations

Our client, a leading multinational retail group, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Director of Operations to oversee their operations across the Western Cape. This hybrid role requires a strategic leader who can balance in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, ensuring the efficient functioning of multiple retail outlets. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving sales targets, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

This position is critical in shaping the strategic direction of our client's retail presence in the region, requiring a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior. • Develop and implement regional operational plans to achieve strategic business objectives.
• Oversee daily operations of multiple retail locations, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
• Manage regional budgets, P&L statements, and resource allocation to maximize profitability.
• Lead, coach, and develop regional management teams to foster high performance and employee engagement.
• Drive sales growth initiatives and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational regulations.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless business operations.
• Conduct regular site visits (both in-person and virtual) to assess operational effectiveness and provide support.

• Over 10 years of experience in retail operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple sites.
• Demonstrated experience in managing P&L, budgets, and driving revenue growth in a competitive retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail best practices, supply chain management, and customer service principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in retail management software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to travel within the region as needed for hybrid work model.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field;
  Master's degree is a plus.
• Reside in or near Cape Town to facilitate hybrid work model.
