Director of Club Operations and Member Experience

Our client, a prestigious private sports and lifestyle club, is looking for an experienced Director of Club Operations and Member Experience to lead their operations in Bloemfontein . This executive role is responsible for the seamless day-to-day running of the club, encompassing all operational departments including F&B, recreation, facilities, and membership services. The primary focus is on elevating the member experience, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth through exceptional service delivery and innovative programming.

You will manage a diverse team, oversee budgets, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the club's offerings and reputation within the Leisure & Sports industry. • Oversee the daily operations of all club departments, including F&B, fitness, aquatics, and events.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of club staff, fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Ensure the club's facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
• Develop and execute innovative programming and events to meet member needs and expectations.
• Manage member relations, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive membership growth and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in club management or luxury hospitality operations, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple operational departments and driving member satisfaction in the Leisure & Sports or hospitality sector.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and revenue generation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
• Experience in staff training, development, and performance management.
• Proficiency in club management software and POS systems.
• A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations, event management, and recreation programming.
