Job Description & How to Apply Below

If you're an experienced editorial or publishing project manager ready to step into a broader programme management role, this could be a fantastic opportunity. We are looking for a Programme Manager to join a successful and growing publishing services organisation, overseeing large-scale, multi-project education programmes for publishing clients. This is a permanent, full-time role offering remote working within the UK, and a salary range of £34-38k, depending on experience.

As Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex programmes of work, building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered to the agreed schedule, quality and commercial expectations.

Key responsibilities
  • Overseeing large programmes comprising multiple education publishing projects
  • Building strong client relationships, leading programme and operational meetings and acting as a key escalation point
  • Managing programme pipelines and working with clients to understand upcoming requirements
  • Leading and supporting project teams working internally and externally
  • Line managing Project Managers, providing mentoring, support and development
  • Standardising and improving project workflows and processes
  • Identifying programme risks, resource requirements and potential issues early
  • Monitoring budgets, margins, supplier spend and programme KPIs
  • Supporting pricing, RFPs and contracts across projects within the programme
  • Working closely with senior management and deputising for the Portfolio Manager where appropriate

You’ll bring strong editorial project or programme management experience, ideally gained within educational publishing or a closely related environment. You’ll be confident managing multiple complex projects, line managing a small team and communicating with senior stakeholders. Strong commercial awareness, organisation and relationship-building skills will be essential.

This is a great opportunity to take on greater programme-level responsibility within a fast-growing organisation.
