Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist (all genders) – Beilen (NL) – Operations & Manufacturing – 32‑40 hours

Can you implement and lead change programs to optimize the performance of our plant Beilen? Friesland Campina is looking for an energetic, results‑driven Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist. With our Operational Excellence program you will help us win in the market by ensuring our Friso Infant Nutrition Supply Chain delivers better safety, quality, service and cost year on year. Leading step‑change projects is both exciting and challenging, because it requires us to do new things and turn those choices into determined actions.

Our factory in Beilen is traditionally known as the "Domo". Every day we work together to produce the highest quality infant formula and infant food ingredients. Our goal is to ensure that all babies around the world can grow up healthy. We do this together with more than 600 employees. This makes the Beilen factory one of Friesland Campina's largest production sites.

What

we ask
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within industries such as Food, Chemical, Consumer Goods, or Pharma, including 3–5 years in Continuous Improvement;
  • Proven track record of delivering strong results in business and project environments;
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and TPM/WCOM;
  • Knowledge of performance management processes (target setting and follow‑up) and experience coaching first‑line leaders;
  • Solid experience in Continuous Improvement, change management, and project management, preferably in an international environment;
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills, including the ability to work without hierarchical authority, coach (junior) colleagues, and fluency in Dutch and English.
What we offer

At Friesland Campina you work on strong, globally loved brands enjoyed by millions every day, like Friso, Campina, Chocomel and Frisian Flag. As a farmer‑owned cooperative, we combine an international environment with a clear social and sustainable purpose. We support your growth through training, coaching and internal career opportunities. With trust and autonomy, you can make a real impact.

Employment benefits:

  • Salary between €5,250 and €7,150 gross per month (full‑time), depending on experience and fit for the role.
  • A work week of 32 to 38 hours, a 5% year‑end allowance, 12.5% company bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme.
  • Hybrid working with flexible working hours, a train card and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way).
  • 200 hours of annual leave, with the option to buy or sell up to 40 hours.
  • A laptop, phone and home office equipment to support flexible working.
  • Wellbeing and inclusion initiatives, such as health support, employee assistance programs and diversity initiatives.
  • Extras at the head office, such as milk and cheese during lunch and fresh fruit.
Responsibilities
  • Establish improvement programs that sustainably improve site performance and capabilities and align with long‑term strategy (e.g., the "Our Way of Working" project).
  • Lead multifunctional improvement teams to implement change using structured methodologies.
  • Manage relevant stakeholders effectively and provide correct management information regarding results and capabilities on time, so that buy‑in for decisions during project/workstream is created, reciprocal expectations are well managed and access to the network of stakeholders is good.
  • Analyze and interpret data to improve our processes and provide support for implementation.
  • Lead and/or facilitate (complex) root cause analysis in line with problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Support, coach and train colleagues across the organization to implement improvement initiatives at shop‑floor level.
  • Manage the progress and results of improvement projects. Identify deviations and elevate them to the appropriate stakeholders so that timely adjustments can be made.
Our values
  • Aspired purpose:
    Better nutrition for the world and a fair income for our farmers, now and for future generations.
  • A cooperative culture:
    Global collaboration, respect and shared success.
  • Concrete impact:
    Space for your ambition, with autonomy and a clear focus.
  • Growth:
    We invest in your personal and professional development through training and education.
