, offering excellent flexibility, while requiring occasional travel for meetings, supplier visits or other business requirements.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of print production projects, coordinating artwork, pre-press, proofing, print, manufacturing and delivery. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, printers, manufacturers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent print production projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
  • Own production schedules, deadlines, budgets, specifications and quality standards across a high-volume programme.
  • Coordinate the full production process across artwork, pre-press, proofing, print, manufacture and delivery.

  • Manage automated pre-press workflows and help standardise incoming artwork to improve production efficiency.
  • Review technical specifications, printer proofs and production samples to ensure finished products meet approved artwork and quality requirements.
  • Proactively identify production risks and resolve technical or operational issues to minimise delays.
  • Liaise with printers, manufacturers and external suppliers to manage production activity through to completion.
  • Work closely with internal teams to agree specifications, approvals, schedules and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain accurate artwork archives, digital assets, version control, templates, specifications and production records.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and international print and manufacturing suppliers.
  • Support reprints, amended artwork and revised production runs, ensuring all information and files are accurate before release.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the production team.
About You

You will be an experienced
print production professional
with a strong technical understanding of pre-press, artwork and print workflows. You will be comfortable taking ownership of multiple projects, managing external suppliers and working to demanding deadlines.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within a commercial print or publishing environment.
  • Highly organised, methodical and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technically strong, with hands-on experience of pre-flighting and resolving complex artwork issues.
  • Knowledgeable about print-ready artwork, PDF standards, colour management and proofing.
  • Experienced in working with printers, manufacturers and external suppliers.
  • Confident interpreting technical specifications and checking proofs and finished products.
  • A strong communicator who can effectively manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers remotely.
  • Proactive in identifying problems and finding practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Comfortable working independently in a predominantly home-based environment.
