About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Production Planner to manage manufacturing schedules from anywhere. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient production of goods, optimizing resource allocation, and coordinating with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing detailed production plans, monitoring progress, and making necessary adjustments to meet demand and operational targets. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional planning skills, a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment, supporting operations in areas like Richards Bay .
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
- Monitor production progress against the plan, identifying and resolving any deviations or potential delays.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless material flow and production continuity.
- Optimize production sequences and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Communicate production status, potential risks, and proposed solutions to management and relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate production planning data within the ERP system.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a remote setting, utilizing collaboration tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles.
