About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Chemical Engineer for their remote operations team, supporting sites including those near East London . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of chemical production facilities. You will focus on troubleshooting production issues, optimizing process parameters, implementing process improvements, and supporting continuous operational excellence. This is a remote-first position, ideal for an engineer who excels at problem-solving and collaboration through digital platforms.
You will work closely with on-site teams to drive productivity and maintain high operational standards across various manufacturing units, contributing significantly to the company's production goals.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and deviations, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and management teams to achieve production targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical production, process operations, or manufacturing support.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics in an industrial setting.
- Experience with process troubleshooting and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
