Remote Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Remote Production Planner to join their manufacturing operations. This fully remote role will be responsible for developing detailed production schedules, managing material requirements, and ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet demand while minimizing costs. You will collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to forecast needs, balance workloads, and ensure timely delivery of products.

This position is ideal for an experienced planner who excels in a remote setting, leveraging digital tools to maintain seamless communication and coordination across geographically dispersed teams.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory levels.
• Manage material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand demand fluctuations and plan accordingly.
• Work closely with production floor supervisors to ensure adherence to schedules and address any production constraints.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding production status, potential delays, and solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRP systems and production planning software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and virtual communication platforms.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
