Senior Process Controller - Gold Extraction

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Process Controller to join their gold extraction facility near Benoni . This role focuses on the precise monitoring and control of chemical and physical processes to ensure maximum gold recovery and adherence to strict quality standards. You will be responsible for operating and optimizing complex control systems, troubleshooting process deviations, and ensuring the safe handling of materials within the mining plant.

• Operate and optimize process control systems for gold extraction circuits (e.g., CIL, CIP, leaching).
• Monitor key process parameters, analyze data, and implement adjustments to maintain optimal performance and recovery rates.
• Perform routine checks and quality control tests on process streams and final products.
• Identify and troubleshoot process upsets, implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize losses.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and assist in generating production reports.
• Train and guide junior operators and technicians on process control procedures.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Process Control.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process control within the gold mining industry or similar chemical processing environments.
• In-depth knowledge of gold extraction processes and associated chemical principles.
• Proficiency with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex process data.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
