Comprising more than 130 personnel, the Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) delivers expertise across program and project management, acquisition and contracting, systems and digital engineering, software development, test and evaluation, sustainment and life-cycle management, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT services. These capabilities support more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects within the Navy’s Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems, Maritime and Munitions, as well as clients at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and the Office of Naval Research.
The SPA IWS Group office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard; however, this position is expected to be either a hybrid or fully-remote work position with no projected travel.
ResponsibilitiesSPA is seeking a dedicated mid-level Cost Analyst with an active DoD Secret clearance to provide full-time support to the Future X-Band Radar (FXR) within Portfolio Acquisition Executive Mission Systems Above Water Sensors Directorate.
The candidate will provide cost analysis and program management services to the FXR Assistant Program Manager and FXR Cost Analysis Working Group in support of the FXR program. A remote work environment or a hybrid work environment is acceptable (work from the SPA M Street Office 2-3 times per week) with no travel anticipated at this time.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide cost analysis support to the FXR Cost Analysis Working Group, specifically development / production cost estimating / modeling.
- Develop and maintain the FXR Cost Model and supporting documentation, Cost Risk/Uncertainty Exposure Determination (CRED) model, the CARD, and other products.
- Brief analysis and work products to CAWG Lead and Program Control (PC) Integrated Product Team Lead.
- Support Acquisition Strategy, schedule, and other program management artifact development and maintenance in support of the FXR Program Control (PC) Integrated Product Team.
- Provide on-site and remote support to FXR Program Control (PC) Integrated Product Team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
- 3-4 years of Cost Analysis experience (internship and/or academic experience is applicable)
- Demonstrated experience in working with cost models / conducting cost data analysis and completing cost analysis tasks independently
- Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain an Active Secret clearance

Qualifications:
- College degree in STEM discipline
- Demonstrated experience completing cost analysis tasking independently in professional environment
- Experience in a Program Office environment, and with Navy’s radar, electronic warfare, and/or combat systems
