This opportunity resides with Uncrewed Systems (UxS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software.

HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced Team Lead to come join our team! As our new Team Lead your primary responsibility will be to maintain Production Flow but you will also manufacture and test various levels of electromechanical assemblies aligning to autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment per drawing specifications. Performing quality inspections of team member’s work. Apply complete comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools.

Develop technical documents, customer briefings and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and senior management.

Your duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Working with Production Management, you will maintain the schedules of production builds.
• Provide status updates on current builds.
• Facilitate training and Authorization of team members.
• Work with Production Support Engineers to adjudicate any issues that arise during production.
• Perform integration, assembly, and test of new systems vehicles and auxiliary equipment from work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting with engineering and software development in order to identify and correct system level problems with vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand diagnostic data.
• Must be able to read and understand technical schematics.
• Must be able to set up and use test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input/output electronic test equipment.
• Must be familiar with general computer operation.
• Must be able to perform basic soldering.
• Performs diversified duties to troubleshoot PWBA's, Assemblies and Modules.
• Troubleshoot complex Analog and Digital circuits to the component level.
• Make recommendations to improve current procedures and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing new procedures.
