Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an MGI Jet Varnish 3D Spot UV or iFoil Digital Printing Machine Operator based in Al Asimah, Kuwait, with limited work-from-home flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. The machine operator will set up, operate, and monitor MGI Jet Varnish 3D and iFoil equipment to produce high-quality spot UV and foiled prints. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing job files, calibrating machines, performing test runs, and ensuring accurate registration, color consistency, and finishing effects.

The role also involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical or software issues, coordinating with prepress and design teams, and maintaining production records and quality control standards. The operator will follow safety procedures, support continuous improvement of production workflows, and help meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Experience operating digital finishing equipment, preferably MGI Jet Varnish 3D, iFoil, or similar spot UV and foiling machines.
Strong technical skills in print production, including machine setup, calibration, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
Understanding of print quality control, color management, registration, and finishing standards.
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and digital files from design and prepress teams.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and clean, efficient work practices.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, supervisors, and other production staff.
Previous experience in commercial printing or packaging is preferred; vocational or technical training in printing is an advantage.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital workflows; exposure to RIP software or print management systems is beneficial.
Willingness to work on-site in Al Asimah, Kuwait with some flexibility for hybrid work as job responsibilities allow.
