Do you read ship blueprints like a roadmap and enjoy turning lines on paper into real steel?
Can you cut, grind, bend, and form plate to tight tolerances—then align it perfectly?
Are you at home working at heights or in tight spaces, in all kinds of weather, to hit production goals?
What you will handle
Precision fabrication:
Cut, bevel, grind, and shape steel to spec.
Fit-up and assembly:
Translate complex metric/standard drawings and templates into accurately installed structural components.
Tool mastery:
Operate grinders, hand torches, hydraulic and ratchet jacks, chain falls, come‑alongs, framing squares, levels, and plumb bobs.
Alignment and securing:
Bring plates, beams, and modules into true position and lock them in.
Varied environments:
Work aloft, in confined spaces, and outdoors across multiple shifts.
Safety leadership:
Uphold stringent safety practices and teamwork every day.
What you bring to the table3–5 years in shipfitting or structural steel fabrication.
Blueprint fluency in both metric and imperial units.
Deep understanding of structural layout and fabrication techniques.
Mechanical aptitude and proven experience with fabrication tooling.
Strong math, reading, and comprehension.
Reliability, quality focus, and a safety-first mindset.
Bonus points
Experience with shipboard installation and precision alignment.
Background in high-throughput or military vessel programs.
Demonstrated leadership potential.
