Professional & TechnicalPSJ Fabrications, a Wood subsidiary company is recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team based in Bedford.

The Role This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for safeguarding and enhancing the company’s quality management systems, maintaining key industry certifications, driving operational quality excellence, and ensuring compliance within highly regulated sectors. Proven experience operating within a regulated manufacturing environment is essential.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Quality and Inspection function, working collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Commercial teams to ensure that products, processes, and systems consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory obligations, and business objectives. The role will champion a culture of continuous improvement, quality excellence, and operational discipline across the organisation.

PSJ Fabrications are a subsidiary of Wood specialising in the fabrication of sheet metals from simple brackets to bespoke enclosures and larger fabrication projects. Our 23,000 sq. feet facility in Bedford is host to “cutting edge” machinery with capabilities including;
Fibre Optic Laser cutting, Brake press forming and Micro bore Welding.

Accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN1090-1 we have the ability to perform bespoke manufacturing as well as high volume manufacturing.

We support clients across a range of different industries from commercial to highly regulated such as Nuclear and defence. Quality is at the heart of everything that we do and as such we are experiencing growth due to recent contract wins. We are looking for individuals from a manufacturing background who pride themselves on delivering high quality products to join our expanding team.
