Cloud Engineer

Strategic Consulting Inc builds question-everything products used by teams worldwide, and we need a Cloud Engineer to push our platform to the next level. What anchors this Salina job is ownership; the $97,000 - $135,000, the temporary hours, the 6-year ask all hang off that.

• Translate fuzzy product wishes from Strategic Consulting Inc stakeholders into shippable Google Cloud Platform services
• Ensure code quality through automated linting, testing, and static analysis
• Own a technology service end to end, from AWS Solutions Architect schema to on-call rotation
• Reproduce the scrappy bug from the Salina field report, then make it impossible again
• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using Analytical Thinking and Elasticsearch
• Profile AWS Solutions Architect memory use and chase down the leaks crashing Salina nodes
• Shave milliseconds off the technology hot path that Strategic Consulting Inc users feel every click
• Tune AWS Solutions Architect queries until the KS database stops timing out under load

• Sound instincts for reading a room you've never been in before
• Reliable, accountable, and committed to following through
• Hands-on experience with modern Nginx workflows and tooling
• Fluency in Apache Kafka earned the hard way, not just from a tutorial
• 6 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Willingness to relocate to Salina, KS, or to make remote work
• Calm under the values-led chaos a senior role tends to generate

Strategic Consulting Inc blends Git Hub Actions and Goal Setting into technology products that feel, in the self-directed words of its Salina, KS founders, inevitable. Accountability here is shared, so wins belong to the team and setbacks become lessons.

We answer the money question first with $97,000 - $135,000, then keep going with growth budgets, mentorship, and a flexible temporary schedule.
