About the Role Our client, a leading innovator in the global beauty & wellness market, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Remote Senior Beauty Product Developer. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa (with a zip code focus suggesting local talent is preferred, though not mandatory). You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, formulating, and bringing to market cutting-edge beauty and personal care products.

This role requires a deep understanding of cosmetic science, market trends, ingredient efficacy, and regulatory compliance within the beauty & wellness industry. • Lead the end-to-end development process for new beauty & wellness products, from concept generation to market launch.
• Conduct extensive market research to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscape in the beauty & wellness sector.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, regulatory affairs, and supply chain teams to ensure product viability and success.
• Oversee formulation development, working closely with chemists to create innovative and effective product formulas.
• Evaluate raw materials and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet launch objectives.
• Ensure all product development adheres to relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on product claims, testing, and performance.
• Stay current with advancements in cosmetic science, ingredient technology, and beauty & wellness innovation.
• Present product development strategies and progress updates to senior management.

• A degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in beauty & wellness product development, with a strong portfolio of successful product launches.
• In-depth knowledge of cosmetic formulations, ingredients, efficacy testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with global cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation).
• Excellent project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for product development and data analysis.
