Job Summary
The Marketing & Communications Manager supports the Child Neurology Society (CNS) by developing and executing thoughtful, mission-driven communications and marketing initiatives that elevate the Society’s visibility, promote membership value, and strengthen engagement across members, partners, and the broader pediatric neurology community.
Reporting to the Executive Director/CEO, this position plays a central role in how CNS communicates its story, balancing strategic planning with hands‑on implementation to ensure every message, campaign, and visual reflects the organization’s purpose, professionalism, and sense of community. The role is both creative and organized, moving seamlessly between strategy and execution, writing and design, planning and coordination, all while maintaining a deep respect for the Society’s voice, members, and mission.
PrimaryResponsibilities Strategic Planning & Brand Stewardship
- Implement the annual marketing and communications plan in alignment with CNS’s strategic goals.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all communications, reflecting CNS’s values.
- Translate strategic priorities into straightforward, actionable campaigns that strengthen visibility and engagement.
- Ensure accuracy, tone, and alignment in all member and public-facing materials and messages.
- Develop and publish high-quality written and visual content for newsletters, websites, social media, and email campaigns.
- Produce multimedia stories, graphics, videos, podcasts, and photo assets, in collaboration with staff and vendors.
- Support publication and promotion of CNS Connections magazine, the Annual Meeting, Brainstorm podcast, and other CNS initiatives.
- Feature member achievements and community milestones through engaging stories and campaigns.
- Plan and manage digital campaigns that grow membership, promote programs, and increase awareness of CNS resources.
- Oversee website content and user experience, coordinating updates with vendors as needed.
- Manage social media channels and content calendars to inform, connect, and celebrate the CNS community.
- Create and distribute targeted email campaigns and monitor analytics to measure engagement and refine strategies.
- Develop marketing materials and collateral for CNS programs, including the Annual Meeting, webinars, awards, and fundraising initiatives.
- Produce event prospectuses, sponsorship packets, exhibitor materials, and partner resource guides with on‑brand design and timely delivery.
- Promote CNS education and publications, including CME courses, the CNS Career and Education Centers, and Annals journals.
- Deliver digital and print advertising, slides, signage, and toolkits that enhance visibility across CNS initiatives.
- Execute campaigns that drive membership recruitment, retention, and engagement.
- Collaborate with staff to activate corporate partner deliverables and enhance sponsor visibility.
- Promote fundraising initiatives, awards, and grant programs to increase participation and awareness.
- Leverage analytics to measure and report on engagement and growth outcomes.
- Promote educational programs, Annual Meeting sessions, and professional resources through targeted campaigns and digital storytelling.
- Increase visibility of CNS publications, webinars, and podcasts through coordinated outreach.
- Lead outreach campaigns for awards, grants, and recognition programs.
- Support advocacy and awareness efforts that amplify CNS’s national and specialty voice.
- Coordinate cross-departmental communication to ensure consistent messaging and scheduling.
- Manage vendor relationships, designers, web developers, and digital partners to deliver high-quality, on‑time assets.
- Track and report campaign performance, using analytics to guide improvements and decisions.
