Summary

Himalaya Wellness (North America) is seeking a Brand Manager to plan, create and implement brand and marketing strategies for its developing Personal Care portfolio to grow across e‑tail and independent retail channels. The position will report to the Director of Marketing. Responsibilities include new product development, portfolio management, category and pricing analyses, Ecommerce and retail marketing, brand planning and cross‑functional partnership.

In this role, you will join a talent rich organization with high expectations for strategic thinking and on‑point execution. We are looking for a candidate who can be highly flexible and work with ambiguity in a dynamic, changing environment. The role requires wearing many hats and the ability to work collaboratively as well as roll up their sleeves to execute. We look for individuals who ask questions and seek out ways to improve strategies and tactics involving our brands, sales, operations, innovation and other go‑to‑market activities.

You will work in strong collaboration with Global category leads, Global R&D teams, Sales (E‑commerce/Multi‑Channel), Insights & Analytics, Supply Chain and US Innovation to deliver on corporate objectives and lead Himalaya’s brand during a fast growth time and be a catalyst for the future direction of the business. The Brand Manager will work on launching global‑led innovation in the US and Canada markets, as well as influencing global concept development.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to develop the US personal care strategy, which will include the Himalaya Since 1930 brand and new brand initiatives, to achieve sales growth goals and marketing objectives.
  • Support the development of annual business plans by identifying the US and Canada personal care business objectives, key initiatives leveraging syndicated data, competitive landscape, market trends and consumer insights.
  • Lead analysis and comprehensive deep dives to understand the market dynamics and consumer trends across categories and translate into actionable insights. Monitor and track competitive activity, as well as in‑market trends for new ingredients, delivery forms, etc.
  • Identify global‑led innovations that are market‑fit and appeal to the US consumer. Drive alignment on the US and Canada new product calendar (including launch cadence and retailer readiness) with cross‑functional teams. There will also be occasional partnership with the Caribbean markets.
  • Develop business cases with pricing and forecast to evaluate the potential impact and feasibility of new product launches, as well as work on product positioning and packaging.
  • Partner with global category leads and cross functional teams on the development of the global innovation pipeline and be the US regional expert and advocate.
  • Work cross‑functionally to define and own innovation commercialization process for US and Canada markets, with occasional partnership with the Caribbean market.
  • Responsible for the development of new product presentations and materials for internal and external usage.
  • Personal Care experience is required and skincare experience is highly preferred. Categories that fall under the role are body, hair, face, oral and baby.
  • Experience or interest in working within a global organization and adapting Global new products to North American markets.
  • Experience developing situation assessments and insight‑driven marketing plans.
  • Experience with Ecommerce, particularly Amazon, is required and independent retail channel experience is preferred. Experience with customer marketing strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to manage projects, develop timelines, prioritize and articulate critical paths, and deliver outcomes on time.
  • Experience working with syndicated data is required (i.e. SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and preferable Stackline experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint required.
