About

The Role

The Content Strategist is a crucial, client‑facing role responsible for day‑to‑day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders. The strategist focuses on enterprise clients and must understand the impact of their service line across the business to develop a holistic marketing strategy.
Internally, this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You'll Do
  • Strategic Excellence and Best Practices:
    Create custom strategies and implement best practices that align with client NSMs. Use the project phase to build the initial strategy and revisit it throughout the engagement, leveraging ongoing campaigns and historical performance.
    • Collaborate with the Associate Director (AsD) when roadblocks arise.
    • Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns, focusing on ideation based on competitor and audience insights.
    • Apply best practices such as LTV:

      CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production.
  • Goal Setting:
    Define and review data‑driven goals for clients, using sources like Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs. All goals must be approved by the AsD before presentation to the client.
    • Ensure goal alignment with client objectives and internal standards.
  • Project Management:
    Lead the execution of the planned strategy, ensuring responsibilities are clear and progress is tracked.
    • Use Asana for task delegation and timeline management.
    • Coordinate with Specialists, content writers, and designers to meet deliverable deadlines and quality standards.
    • When Project Managers are present, partner to guarantee task assignment and due dates are met.
  • Internal and External Communication:
    Serve as the primary interface between clients and the Directive team. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while proactively communicating progress and roadblocks.
    • Use Slack for frequent updates and maintain a regular cadence of deliverable sharing.
    • Report to internal leadership on opportunities, roadblocks, and account changes.
  • Reporting:
    Deliver regular updates to clients on strategy progress.
    • Bi‑weekly meetings to discuss NSM progress.
    • Monthly and quarterly reports.
    • Bi‑annual business review presentations.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven SEO and content strategy experience: keyword research, on‑page optimization, link building.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse traffic and SEO metrics.
  • Excellent client‑facing communication and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other crawling tools.
  • Organised, project‑focused and capable of managing time effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content.
  • Agency experience and B2B tech/SaaS background.

  • Upsells / Cross‑sells / Referrals: continuously identify opportunities for client growth.
    • Explore new service lines or increased budgets within current lines.
