Volunteer:
Marketing and Communications Volunteer Placement (online and in-person) in Peru.
Location:
Talara, Peru. Duration: 2 weeks to 6 months. Start dates: project is ongoing, and you can join at any time, depending on availability.
In-person placement: from $1466 USD for the first 2 weeks, then from $608 USD for each additional week.
Online placement: from $1081 USD for the first 2 weeks, then from $415 USD for each additional week.

- Live and work in a north Peru surfing hotspot (in-person placement).

- As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will own the organization’s outreach projects, working with directors and other interns to promote development initiatives. Daily activities may vary and may include social media content creation, photography and videography, design of promotional material, and communication with our team and supporters.
- Maintain up-to-date communication with our supporters in Lobitos and around the world, organizing and promoting workshops and other in-person community events, and engaging donors through newsletters and online fundraising events. This may include webinars and global calls.
- Coordinate the design of promotional materials for the organization and its partners; design merchandise materials; ensure accuracy through collaboration with directors and partners.
- Communicate with our team at home and abroad to support outreach efforts and ensure consistent representation across programs.
- Online program activities may include marketing research, content curation for social media, creation of graphic elements, monitoring engagement, and achieving marketing and communication goals.
You can take part in this position through our Online Program as well as the in-person placement. The online program includes activities such as:
- Marketing research for upcoming initiatives
- Content creation for social media and marketing
- Graphic element design for online use
- Monitoring engagement on online channels
- Implementation of marketing and communication goals
Online educational seminars, given by our Directors, cover NGO management, outreach and business development, sustainability, and research methods.
