As an Online Trade Executive - Cross-Portfolio Campaigns & Events, you’ll play a key role in planning, delivering, and optimising seasonal, brand, and propositional content across Tesco’s online platforms. This role focuses on creating compelling, customer‑focused content that supports our online content strategy and enhances engagement and conversion. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to ensure campaigns run smoothly and continuously improve content performance.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, coordinating, and delivering seasonal, brand, and propositional campaigns across Tesco’s online platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Partnering with propositional teams early in the planning process to support strategic thinking and help shape event direction; working alongside the Online Trading Manager on early‑stage campaign involvement.
- Applying strong commercial awareness and understanding of trading levers and commercial strategy, using data and insights to make informed decisions and optimise campaign performance.
- Collaborating with Customer, Marketing, and Trade Planning teams to ensure campaign content is consistent across all touchpoints and meets customer needs.
- Using analytics and SEO insights to guide content decisions and make in‑flight adjustments to improve performance.
- Reviewing content performance regularly and sharing insights with the wider team to support continuous improvement, including competitor analysis and external inspiration to inform best practices.
- Supporting the delivery of HFSS‑compliant sponsored content and contributing to monetisation opportunities in partnership with the Retail Media team.
- Maintaining high standards of content accuracy and compliance through regular checks and quality assurance processes.
- Providing feedback to digital product and technology teams to help enhance platforms and CMS functionality.
- Working in an agile environment, actively participating in team ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A customer‑focused mindset with an understanding of digital customer journeys.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimisation techniques.
- Experience working with CMS platforms and website analytics tools (such as Adobe Analytics).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A collaborative approach and clear communication skills to work confidently across teams.
- A proactive and curious attitude, with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
- Creative thinking to identify opportunities for enhancing content performance.
