Real Chemistry is looking for a Medical Editor to join our growing Global Med Comms team. The Medical Editor will review, edit, and verify a wide array of medical content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and impact across various media platforms, upholding the highest standards.

• Edit and proofread medical content across the full spectrum of medical and commercial communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, flow and alignment with client style.
• Utilize a deep understanding of medical terminology and principles to enhance content quality.
• Collaborate closely with Medical, Client Services, Design and Project Management to maintain content quality and relevance, and to deliver against agreed timelines.
• Conduct thorough fact-checking and source verification as needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry best practices and advocate them within your work.

• A strong foundation in medical terminology and principles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• A keen interest to apply AI best practices to enhance editing capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proofreading and editing capabilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively, work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to desk research and source verification.
• Keen interest in continuous learning about medical advancements and guidelines.
• Experience in a team environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in science, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a scientific/medical field.
• Experience as a medical editor in a medical communications agency is preferred.
