Join us at Sorella Labs as a Marketing Lead, where you will own and grow our marketing function from the ground up. You will play a key role in shaping our brand's voice, expanding our community both online and in real life driving measurable success for our marketing initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of DeFi, collaborating with a passionate team building MEV-aware solutions and decentralized trading systems.

This full-time role is open to remote candidates, with a preference for in-person hybrid work with our team in our Soho, Manhattan office.

Role Description

As Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for creating and executing our marketing strategy to grow awareness of Sorella Labs and its products, specifically Angstrom and Brontes. This includes:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to establish Sorella as a leader in DeFi and drive user acquisition and retention.
  • Driving the initial marketing of the Angstrom protocol as part of the team of initial contributors.
  • Defining and implementing our voice and presence across social media platforms and other media outlets.
  • Establishing processes for posting content and community engagement.
  • Formulating non-technical blog posts highlighting the unique value-adds of our products in a consumer-facing manner.
  • Organizing both online and offline events to connect with our audience.
  • Measuring the success of marketing initiatives through reporting and goal-setting.
  • Proposing and planning for future marketing headcount as the team grows.

You will work closely with leadership and the team leads to build and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that helps grow Sorella Labs and their products audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy:
  • Craft and own the overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and product roadmap.
  • Develop a go-to-market plan for the AMM’s launch, including brand positioning, target audience segmentation, and value proposition articulation.
  • Content Management:
  • Ideate, plan, and post across social media platforms (e.g., X/Twitter, Linked In, Discord).
  • Create a content calendar and establish workflows for consistent engagement.
  • Collaborate with designers and contractors for visual content.
  • Content Creation:
  • Write organic content, including blog posts, social media updates, and announcements.
  • Develop technical and educational content tailored to our audience.
  • Community Building:
  • Foster a strong online presence and engage with community members.
  • Plan and execute events, such as community meetups and conference side events.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Track and report on key marketing metrics, including engagement, reach, and conversions.
  • Set clear goals for marketing campaigns and measure their success.
  • Strategic Growth:
  • Propose strategies to expand the marketing team and enhance future efforts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitors’ marketing activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 2+ years in crypto/web3 marketing, with a preference for experience at a DEX or in the MEV space.
  • Proven success managing company social media accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content and grow online communities.
  • Skills:
  • Strong writing and storytelling ability, particularly for crypto-native audiences.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and content creation tools (or managing contractors who use them).
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of measuring and reporting on marketing success.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Passion for decentralized finance and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
