Your main duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the communications and engagement for the English Lake District World Heritage Site and Love Windermere Partnership
- Collaborate closely with partners, local stakeholders, businesses and cultural organisations to amplify events and activities for both projects
- Develop and implement an ambitious marketing plan that highlights the unique heritage and natural beauty of the Lake District World Heritage Site
- Expand the reach and influence of our World Heritage brand through innovative campaigns and partnerships
- Devise and deliver campaigns to inform and engage audiences with Love Windermere Partnership's Action Plan, demonstrating delivery, accountability and transparency
- Create, curate and deliver regular, engaging stories about actions to improve water quality in Windermere
- Work with Love Windermere partners through the Communications and Engagement workstream to integrate messaging across partner channels and audiences
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys delivering projects at pace with a range of stakeholders and is motivated by improving access and understanding of our special environment and heritage.
You might be currently working in a communications, marketing or engagement role - or perhaps you have something completely fresh to offer. We're looking for self‑starters with an eye for detail, and plenty of ideas and enthusiasm. You'll be keen for a challenge and ready to make a difference in England's largest National Park and World Heritage Site.

You’ll work in the Communications team on two projects:
Love Windermere and the English Lake District World Heritage Site. You'll be line‑managed by our Head of Communications and Engagement and will have regular matrix management relationships with project teams.
We operate a hybrid way of working, combining working from home and days at our office base at Wayfaring House, Kendal. You'll be provided with a laptop to enable you to access our secure IT network when working remotely.
