To help eCommerce business owners scale their businesses with more cash and less stress.
This requires a broad range of skills including financial modelling, risk management, understanding of US/Canadian GAAP, financing, audit, investor relations and more.
We are small but growing fast which means you will get the chance to specialize and grow into future roles such as Finance Manager or VP Finance.
Lastly, as you might expect of a finance company, we work really hard when we need to, but we don’t work hard just for the sake of it. We don’t miss our kids’ concerts, we work out during the day and we usually sign off early on Fridays.
About the position
Eightx is seeking a Creative Strategist to own and execute creative strategy across our marketing channels. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic thinker with a strong grasp of brand storytelling and data-informed marketing.
In this hybrid/remote role, you will work closely with the leadership and marketing teams to research, plan, and deliver creative campaigns aligned with our business objectives. You will play a key role in shaping Eightx’s brand presence, with clear ownership over how creative performance drives engagement, demand, and business growth.
What you will do
Time Zone & Commitment
- Flexible Working:
We offer flexible hours and remote work arrangements focused on output and impact, along with 20 days of paid time off (PTO) annually. In addition to PTO, the team does not work during the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
This role requires consistent overlap with Pacific Time, preferably between 6:00am and 2:00pm PT, to support collaboration with the leadership and marketing teams.
Strategy & Content Support
- Conduct market, audience, and competitor research to inform creative strategy.
- Write video scripts for IG, Meta, Tiktok
- Coach team members on filming
- Film alongside them on Riverside (ask questions live)
- Edit short-form video content for social channels
- Own performance optimization across retention, engagement, and growth
Operations & Analysis
- Help track and analyze engagement and performance metrics.
- Assist with presentations, pitch materials, and internal strategy documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh, strategic perspectives.
What You Must Have
- Experience: 1–3 years experience in content, creative strategy, or social media (agency or in-house).
- Strategic Interest: A strong interest in creative strategy, branding, and marketing.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Soft Skills: A curious, organized, and proactive approach to learning with a high degree of empathy.
- Independence: Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting.
