Position: Senior Marketing Manager (B2B, foundational)
Location: Greater London

Quantum Base has invented the Q-, a small atomic fingerprint that can go on anything, can be authenticated with any smartphone, and cannot be counterfeited. Q-IDs are novel, are covered by 40+ patents, and eliminate counterfeits in industries like pharmaceuticals, currency, fine art and luxury goods. Our customers are typically large, sophisticated organisations including security printers, governments, and global brand owners. Sales cycles are long, complex, and high-value.

We are now hiring our first dedicated marketing professional to build an industry leading marketing engine. We're looking for new team members to join our team working at the leading edge of science. If this sounds like you, then please apply.

The role

As the first marketing hire, this is a very hands on role where you will be given great autonomy but be expected to do everything yourself (in a good way). You will be the only marketer in the business and will work closely with the CEO, commercial team, and technical leadership. You will be responsible for translating our deeply scientific invention into simple, compelling value propositions and building a watertight inbound marketing funnel.

This is an opportunity to shape the marketing function from the ground up and get this incredible invention out into the world.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain clear, consistent messaging that explains Quantum Base’s technology and value proposition simply.
  • Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into customer-focused language.
  • Define and refine ICPs, buyer personas, and use-case narratives.
  • Write and own high-quality content including:
  • Manage the production of whitepapers and technical explainers (with support from our scientists)
  • Case studies and customer stories
  • Website copy and landing pages
  • Build and manage an inbound marketing funnel from awareness through to qualified leads with Hubspot.
  • Get creative and test new marketing channels that can deliver ROI.
Account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Design and execute ABM campaigns for named target accounts
  • Work closely with sales to support strategic opportunities
  • Tailor content and messaging for specific accounts, sectors, and regions
Events & field marketing
  • Plan and execute industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Own pre-event targeting and outreach, on-site messaging, and post-event follow-up
  • Measure and report on event effectiveness and pipeline impact
  • Work closely with sales to ensure marketing supports live opportunities
  • Continuously improve lead quality and handover to sales
  • Provide marketing materials that directly help deals progress and close
  • Define and track key marketing and funnel metrics
  • Report on pipeline influence, content performance, and campaign effectiveness
  • Continuously test, learn, and improve
Key Skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, ideally in deep-tech, science, industrial or enterprise SaaS.
  • Strong written communication skills. You can write clear, credible long-form content yourself.
  • Hands-on experience with inbound marketing funnels and demand generation (Hubspot preferred)
  • Practical experience with account-based marketing
