Job Title:
Head of Marketing / Marketing Director

Role Purpose

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for building, leading, and executing the end‑to‑end marketing strategy for the company’s e‑commerce platform. This role is critical to successfully launching, scaling, and optimizing the platform, ensuring brand consistency, commercial impact, and seamless execution across digital touchpoints. As the first senior marketing hire, the role carries full ownership of marketing governance, agency management, and cross‑functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
  • Own and lead the overall marketing strategy for the e‑commerce platform, from launch through scale‑up.
  • Establish marketing governance, processes, and best practices in collaboration with IT, Commercial, and Operations teams.
  • Act as the primary marketing authority for all platform‑related decisions, approvals, and prioritization.
Brand, Growth & Performance Marketing
  • In addition to platform execution, lead brand‑building, user acquisition, and customer engagement through performance‑led digital and social commerce initiatives.
  • Own and oversee the full performance marketing mix, including SEO, paid media, social platforms, CRM/email, and video‑driven campaigns.
  • Leverage influencers, creators, and strategic partners to scale reach, relevance, and brand credibility in the Saudi market.
  • Apply data‑driven insights to continuously optimize customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rates, retention, and overall marketing ROI.
  • Tailor brand messaging, targeting, and channel strategy to Saudi B2C consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and seasonal demand patterns.
Platform Content & Asset Management
  • Work closely with IT and Creative Agencies to finalize all product titles, descriptions, taxonomy, and metadata across curated and general SKU assortments.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and SEO best practices across all product content.
  • Review and sign off all hero banners, category visuals, and iconography across web, responsive, iOS, and Android platforms.
Campaign Execution & Agency Management
  • Coordinate and lead immediate alignment meetings with Digital Marketing Agencies and IT teams to ensure all campaign, creative, and platform deliverables are aligned and executed on time.
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring flawless deployment across channels.
  • Guide agencies to prioritize top‑selling and strategically critical KSA products, avoiding duplication of effort and maximizing ROI.
Commercial Enablement & Promotions
  • Continue leveraging the Deal Page as a core promotional tool to highlight finalized offers and bundles.
  • Ensure bundle creatives are optimized and repurposed effectively across Deal Pages and relevant marketing placements.
  • Work in close alignment with the Vendor Management & Trade (VMT) team to ensure promotions, funding, and vendor priorities are fully integrated into marketing plans.
Governance & Approvals
  • Own and sign off the final Vendor Pack, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, brand standards, and platform readiness.
  • Act as the final decision‑maker on all marketing materials, ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic fit.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience
    , with a significant portion in e‑commerce, digital marketing, or omnichannel retail.
  • Proven track record of launching an e‑commerce platform from scratch
    , including content setup, campaign launch, and go‑live execution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives with IT, Product, Commercial, and external agencies.
  • Strong background in managing creative, media, and digital agencies at a senior level.
  • Experience in the KSA or GCC market is highly preferred, with strong understanding of local consumer behavior and e‑commerce dynamics.
