Sales & Marketing Executive, Sales & Marketing Department, Edinburgh based
THE ROLE:The Sales & Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Manager in executing the Abbey Group’s marketing and sales strategies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for digital marketing, content creation, and tourism. Key responsibilities include delivering timely email and social media marketing campaigns, managing website content, and ensuring the Group’s five new websites remain consistently updated, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s messaging.
COREDUTIES INCLUDE:
Email Marketing & CRM
- Using Canva, assist in the preparation and distribution of ezines and email campaigns.
- Maintain and update CRM data to ensure accuracy. Work with Sales to improve segmentation of clients for more accurate messaging.
- Support campaign reporting and analytics.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Linked In, Instagram, Facebook).
- Design visual assets using tools like Canva.
- Support the creation of promotional videos and imagery.
Website & Digital Content Management
- Maintain and update content across the Abbey Group’s websites.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external developers to ensure timely updates and functionality.
- Ensure SEO best practices are applied to all web content.
- Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements based on performance data.
- Prepare sales presentations and marketing materials for trade shows and client meetings.
- Assist with funding submissions and product promotions.
- Support the Sales & Marketing team with Tourplan bookings and activity tracking.
Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility
- Support the Abbey Group’s environmental and responsible tourism initiatives, aligning marketing strategies with sustainability goals.
Depending on role - Some international travel may be required and will be in compliance with the company’s Business Travel Policy.
REQUIREMENTS:- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva.
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., Word Press or similar).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Campaign Monitor/Mautic).
- Familiarity with CRM systems and analytics tools.
- Google Analytics (GA4).
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
- Interest in travel and tourism, particularly Ireland and the UK.
