Remote Social Media Manager – Junior

This role is ideal for a creative and community-driven social media professional passionate about building lasting relationships within a premium pet brand environment. You will manage and elevate the Instagram and Tik Tok presence for a Manhattan-based dog business, focusing on client retention and fostering a sense of belonging among existing clients. The brand’s aesthetic is approachable luxury—warm, upscale, and inclusive—aiming to create a digital 'clubhouse' that makes dog owners feel proud to be part of the community.

The initial engagement is a 30-day paid trial, with the potential for a long-term partnership.

• Create and edit 15 high-quality video posts per month tailored to the brand’s luxury yet approachable style.
• Post three engaging story updates daily to maintain active community engagement.
• Organize and present content for weekly review and feedback.
• Actively manage community interactions, including responding to comments and direct messages to nurture loyalty and retention.
• Utilize provided brand assets to ensure consistency and alignment with the brand’s visual identity.

• Proven experience managing social media for local businesses or premium/luxury brands, with a focus on community-building and retention.
• Strong video editing skills and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Deep understanding of Instagram and Tik Tok best practices, including content scheduling, engagement strategies, and analytics.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to embody a warm, inclusive brand voice.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to feedback.
• Based in or familiar with New York City culture and the local pet community is a plus.
• Portfolio or examples of previous community-focused social media work required.
