The Marketing Manager South Africa is responsible for driving localized brand growth and customer acquisition/originations through strategic marketing initiatives across the South African market. The role leads PR, partner marketing, retail kiosk marketing, point‑of‑sale visibility, branding, and integrated campaigns to strengthen Pay Joy’s market presence, increase customer engagement, and support revenue growth. This position works cross-functionally with Sales, Partnerships, CX, Collections and Operations to execute high-impact marketing programs that enhance channel performance and drive device activations.

• Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all customer and partner touchpoint.
• Develop and execute localized marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth in South Africa.
• Manage partner marketing initiatives with retail and channel partners to increase activations and strengthen market presence.
• Oversee kiosk branding, visibility, and customer engagement strategies across retail environments.
• Drive PR and communications activities to enhance Pay Joy’s brand reputation and media presence in the market.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Partnerships, CX, Collections and Operations teams to support commercial objectives and campaign execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, trade marketing, brand management, or partner marketing.
• Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across retail and channel environments.
• Strong understanding of PR, branding, point‑of‑sale marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and external partners effectively.
• Experience in fintech, telecommunications, retail, or consumer finance industries is preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to execute in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive market growth and support commercial objectives through marketing initiatives.
