Senior Buying & Planning Specialist TV

Overview

Dentsu is a global marketing and advertising network operating in over 145 countries. This role focuses on TV media buying and strategy to create impactful advertising campaigns for clients.

• Lead the end‑to‑end buying of TV advertising spots, including negotiation, booking and optimisation to achieve the best pricing, reach and campaign performance.
• Plan and execute TV media strategies aligned with client objectives, audience targets and KPIs.
• Develop clear and effective TV media plans, defining optimal channel mix, programmes and time slots.
• Translate client briefs into actionable TV strategies in collaboration with account and buying teams.
• Analyse audience data to identify key viewing behaviours, segments and opportunities.
• Monitor campaign performance using key TV metrics such as reach, frequency and GRPs.
• Deliver post‑campaign analysis and recommendations for future optimisation.
• Build and manage TV budgets, ensuring efficient allocation across channels and campaigns.
• Identify new opportunities from market and competitor research, including special events, new channels and emerging media formats.
• Present TV media plans, strategies and campaign results to clients, acting as the main point of contact for TV buying matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with broadcasters and media partners.
• Support and mentor junior planners and buyers, sharing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement within the team.
