We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Account Manager – Media and PR Relations to join our growing London team. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional with a passion for media relations, storytelling and client management to work across a diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C clients.
The RoleAs an Account Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service, developing compelling media narratives and securing high-quality earned coverage. You'll be a trusted client contact, responsible for managing day-to-day communications, leading media outreach and contributing to the development of creative, integrated campaigns.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, managing communications, expectations and project timelines.
- Develop and deliver client presentations, reports and strategic recommendations with confidence and professionalism.
- Monitor media trends, competitor activity and the wider news agenda to identify opportunities and provide valuable insights.
- Write engaging and impactful content, including press releases, media statements, thought leadership articles and briefing materials.
- Lead media relations activity, building strong journalist relationships and securing earned coverage across print, online and broadcast media. Develop creative campaign and story ideas from concept through to execution.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the agency while remaining calm and solutions-focused in a fast‑paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing multiple client accounts within an agency or communications environment.
- Strong media relations and PR expertise, with a proven track record of securing earned media coverage.
- Existing journalist contacts and experience placing spokespeople as expert commentators.
- A solid understanding of the UK media landscape and fast-moving news agenda. Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively. Experience producing client reports, media analysis and campaign evaluations.
