Senior Marketing Executive | London, Hybrid | £37,000 - £42,000 | full time

Are you looking for a senior marketing executive role within a fast-growing business where people are at the heart of everything we do?

Would you like to work within a socially conscious organisation that is making a real impact in the education sector?

The company

The Key Group serves school leaders and trusts across the UK providing authoritative guidance and intuitive tools that support school leadership. We work across the full diversity of schools and locations, from small rural and coastal primaries to the largest trusts and local authorities in the country.

We recognise that each school and trust is on a journey and school leaders need to identify their specific context, their own path and the next step in that journey. This process requires more than just shared values in a school, it requires the knowledge, data, context and confidence to bring others with you in effecting change.

That’s why we’re here. We put the power back in the hands of those leading our schools and trusts, by equipping them with remarkable products & services.

The role

The Senior Marketing Executive (Campaigns) is responsible for planning and delivering high-impact marketing campaigns that drive new school acquisition and upgrades across The Key.

This role owns the campaigns engine — translating commercial priorities into clear, compelling and well-executed activity across core performance channels. Working closely with Schools Marketing, Sales and Brand & Partnerships, you will ensure campaigns are insight-led, commercially effective and consistently well delivered.

This is a senior, hands‑on role that combines campaign planning with delivery oversight, ensuring campaigns contribute meaningfully to growth while reinforcing trust in the brand.

Key responsibilities

Campaign strategy & planning
  • Own the planning and delivery of acquisition and upgrade campaigns across The Key
  • Translate commercial priorities into clear campaign roadmaps, briefs and sequencing
  • Identify opportunities to test, learn and evolve campaign approaches over time
Campaign delivery & optimisation
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of campaigns across core channels, ensuring activity is well-targeted and effective
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered to a high standard and inline with brand guidelines
  • Monitor performance and optimise campaign activity using insight and data
  • Support the delivery of go-to-market strategies for new revenue lines and adjacencies
Commercial collaboration
  • Partner closely with inside sales to align campaigns with targeting, sequencing and handoffs, ensuring our conversion journeys are leveraging a combined campaign approach
  • Collaborate with product and content teams to ensure campaigns clearly communicate product value and reflect deep audience understanding
Performance & ways of working
  • Own campaign reporting and insights, connecting activity to commercial outcomes
  • Establish clear, repeatable ways of working for campaign planning, delivery and optimisation
  • Act as a senior campaign specialist within the marketing team, supporting best practice and consistency

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Executive who has the following experience:

Essential

  • Experience delivering B2B marketing campaigns with commercial accountability
  • Strong understanding of the customer lifecycle and performance marketing
  • A high level of creativity in campaign thinking, with excellent copywriting skills and proven ability to deliver quality execution
  • Proven ability to plan, deliver and optimise campaigns across multiple channels
  • Strong judgement, prioritisation and delivery focus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and work collaboratively to secure cross‑functional buy‑in

Nice to have

  • Experience in the education sector or in subscription/SaaS environments
  • Experience working closely with sales teams
  • Familiarity with Hubspot or other automation platforms
