MARKETING COORDINATOR INTERN RedPoint Media Group invites applications for a full‑time, eight‑week internship in marketing coordination. This contract position commences immediately and offers hands‑on experience in publishing, media marketing, events, and brand promotion within an award‑winning media company.
RedPoint Media Group is a Calgary‑based publishing house and content‑driven marketing studio that manages city‑lifestyle publications, custom content, special events, and strategic partnerships.
As an intern you will support the team’s marketing initiatives, strengthen community presence, and collaborate on a variety of campaigns and events.
Responsibilities Apply a holistic approach to all marketing activities.
Create, place, and book print and online advertisements.
Maintain inventory of in‑house promotional ads (print and online).
Manage inventory of marketing and promotional materials.
Coordinate RedPoint’s participation in trade shows, festivals, industry, media, civic, and sponsorship events, including evening events when required.
Assist with event coordination, planning, and execution (e.g., Top
40
Under
40, A‑List events).
Track and compile event collateral; maintain databases for memberships, groups, invitations, and related contacts.
Write marketing emails and website copy.
Conduct research as needed.
Monitor contests and prize tracking.
Maintain meticulous files, spreadsheets, and other marketing materials.
Qualifications Ideal candidates are highly organized, creative, and enthusiastic about supporting campaigns, events, and brand‑building efforts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization and time‑management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
Fluency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and MacOS.
Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and digital content tools.
Interest in media, publishing, events, and community engagement.
Previous event coordination or marketing experience is an asset.
Candidates should also be qualified, dependable, and collaborative, detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, a self‑starter who takes initiative, creative, curious, eager to learn, and passionate about producing high‑quality work.
Benefits Hourly compensation of $15 per hour on a 40‑hour workweek.
