About the Role

We’re hiring our first Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes sports, has a sharp eye for content, and wants to get hands-on experience across content, community, and retention marketing. You’ll help create and publish social and SEO content, assist in running our email and SMS campaigns, and play a key role in growing the Shurzy brand across all channels.

What You'll Work On

Content & SEO

• Help plan and publish blog posts, evergreen guides, and glossary content
• Research trending topics, keywords, and angles that sports fans are searching for
• Track content performance and help optimize posts for SEO
• Assist with maintaining our content calendar and keeping things fresh and timely

Community & Organic Growth

• Help manage and schedule posts across X (Twitter), Tik Tok, Instagram, and Reddit
• Create engaging, in-the-moment content—memes, betting insights, game-day trends
• Reply to comments, connect with fans, and grow our social presence
• Collaborate with creators, affiliates, and sports communities to drive traffic

Retention & Lifecycle Marketing

• Assist in building email, SMS, and in-app messaging campaigns
• Use tools like Mailer Lite or Klaviyo to set up and manage automated flows
• Support onboarding, win-back, and loyalty initiatives
• Help test different content and timing strategies to improve engagement

Who You Are

• 1–2 years experience in marketing, social media, or content—internships count
• A sports fan through and through—betting culture is familiar to you, and you speak the lingo
• You’ve dabbled in social, email, or SEO and want to keep learning and doing more
• Comfortable writing, scheduling, and sharing content across platforms
• Familiar with marketing tools like Mailer Lite, Klaviyo, Hub Spot, or willing to learn
• Startup-friendly: you’re proactive, organized, and open to wearing different hats

Bonus:
You’ve run a fan account, sports blog, Discord server, or newsletter before—even better if it had a betting angle.
