We are looking for a creative, commercially minded, and highly organised Marketing Executive to join our award‑winning Communications team. In this role, you will support the Head of Marketing and the Senior Brand Marketing Manager across their lists, working on standout campaigns for leading Middle Grade and YA brands.

Key responsibilities
  • Campaign management:
    Work closely with the marketing team to plan and implement audience‑focused, creative and effective direct‑to‑consumer campaigns for a wide range of brands in our Fiction and Non‑Fiction divisions.
  • Content creation:
    Write compelling, eye‑catching copy for a variety of marketing purposes, including book proofs, social content, advertising and more.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration:
    Work closely with digital, trade marketing and publicity colleagues to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
  • Stakeholder communication:
    Communicate plans to internal and external stakeholders including sales and editorial colleagues, brand owners and licensees.
  • Digital and social media:
    Manage social media content across multiple platforms and brief digital advertising.
  • Asset briefing:
    Liaise with designers to create high‑impact marketing assets and materials.
  • Agency & influencer partnerships:
    Coordinate campaign activity with media agencies and build meaningful relationships with influencers to amplify our titles across key platforms.
Essential experience, abilities, knowledge and values you’ll need to succeed
  • Industry knowledge:
    Demonstrable passion for children’s books and the publishing industry, with a particular interest in MCB’s Fiction and Non‑Fiction divisions.
  • Marketing foundation:
    Experience working in a busy direct‑to‑consumer marketing team, either within or outside of the publishing industry.
  • Clear and effective communication:
    Effective written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to share information reliably and professionally.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh, innovative ideas that drive engagement.
  • Innovation and efficiency: A forward‑thinking approach to publishing with an openness to exploring new tools and technologies, such as AI, to improve workflows and create more efficient processes.
  • Software/tools:
    Experience working with systems and tools such as MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, Canva and Biblio.

This is a full time, permanent role, and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
