Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated PR & Events Manager to join our Consumer PR team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our PR strategy across products and critics while orchestrating impactful events that showcase Majestic’s industry-leading expertise, standout range, and unique culture.

The Role

As a core voice for Majestic, you will shape how the world sees our brand. Your mission will be to champion our people, products, strategy, and culture through a vibrant mix of press releases, influencer partnerships, wine reviews, awards, and major external campaigns.

You’ll sit right at the heart of the action, collaborating closely with our Buying, Marketing, Content, and Social Media teams
, alongside our wider PR colleagues, external agencies, and suppliers. Together, you will bring our story to life through unforgettable events and media moments, cementing Majestic’s reputation as the ultimate wine authority.

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Location: Watford - Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15‑minute walk to our Head Office.
  • Reporting to: Head of Content, Brand & Consumer PR

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the implementation and budget of an overarching PR & Events strategy with the Head of Brand and Content - aligned with Majestic’s brand, marketing, and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Majestic's positioning within the wine, beer, and spirits industries. Stay ahead of trends in PR, media, and the wine and spirits sectors to ensure Majestic’s approach remains innovative and effective.
  • Own the relationship with external PR agency, and own the day‑to‑day relationship - providing guidance on campaign planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Accountable for the organisation, planning and executing of: bi‑annual press tastings, wine submissions for awards, and industry‑related events.
  • Act as the primary contact for the company with industry contacts and influencers. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Plan and execute PR campaigns, ensuring alignment with marketing initiatives and KPIs. Conduct regular reviews of PR campaigns to assess impact and refine strategies.
  • Oversee and implement partnerships, sponsor ships, and industry collaborations. Take ownership of all consumer facing events and tastings, paid and unpaid influencer partnerships (sample sends for unpaid and negotiating on contracts, rates and briefs for paid influencer content), wine sponsorship for events.
  • Establish and monitor PR metrics and KPIs, providing detailed analysis and reporting to senior leadership.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • WSET Level 3 or higher (preferred).
  • Proven success in designing and managing high‑impact PR campaigns in retail, wine, or spirits industries.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence in public speaking.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Highly organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and social media platforms, as well as traditional media outlets.
  • Personable, proactive, and adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passionate about wine, beer, and spirits, with a strong understanding of the Majestic range.
