Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Simplyhealth, we’re more than just a company; we’re a certified B Corp with a 150‑year heritage of improving access to healthcare across the UK. Today, we support around 2.5 million members through affordable health and dental plans, helping people access the care they need when they need it most.

We’re now looking for a Head of Marketing to lead a critical transformation across our marketing function. This is a high‑impact role reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, with accountability for building a modern, data‑driven marketing engine that delivers measurable growth across both our Health Plan and Denplan businesses.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we take our propositions to market — bringing together B2B, B2C and B2B2C strategies through strengthening engagement and creating a seamless connection between product, sales and marketing execution.

This is a transformation‑focused leadership role with ownership of marketing performance end‑to‑end. You’ll be responsible for turning brand positioning and awareness into tangible commercial outcomes — from marketing qualified leads through to measurable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering on marketing transformation, enhancing capability, structure and impact across the function.
  • Building a high‑performing engagement engine, driving stronger customer and member interaction across the lifecycle.
  • Owning end‑to‑end demand generation, from lead identification through to qualification and performance tracking.
  • Developing and executing integrated B2B, B2C and B2B2C marketing strategies.
  • Embedding a data‑led approach, including segmentation, performance marketing and robust reporting infrastructure.
  • Acting as the connector between sales, product and marketing, translating product strategy into impactful go‑to‑market delivery.
  • Strengthening the capability of the marketing team, providing clear direction and driving accountability for results.
  • Leading across channels including events, CRM, ecommerce and martech platforms, ensuring alignment with broader digital and technology strategy.

This is a role with real scope — combining leadership with hands‑on execution to build a modern marketing function that directly contributes to business growth.

About You

You’re a confident, commercially minded marketing leader who thrives in complex environments and knows how to turn strategy into performance.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A strong track record in senior marketing leadership roles, ideally within healthcare, insurance or related sectors.
  • Experience spanning B2B and B2C marketing, with the ability to operate across both with credibility.
  • Proven success in performance marketing and demand generation, delivering measurable growth outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of martech, CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and data‑driven marketing practices.
  • The ability to lead transformation, raising capability, setting standards and addressing underperformance where needed.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with accountability for growth targets and marketing ROI.
  • Confidence and gravitas to operate at executive and board level, influencing senior stakeholders across the business.

Above all, you’ll be a pragmatic, outcome‑focused leader — equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves to deliver it.

In return you’ll get a competitive salary with group bonus (linked to growth KPIs) plus a range of excellent benefits including 10% employer contribution + 4% contribution by you, 28 days holiday, £600 flex pot for additional benefits from private health cover to critical illness.

This is a permanent role, based within reach of Andover (hybrid working) with a combination of days in the office (typically 1‑2) and working at home.
