A luxury safari lodge group is seeking a creative, commercially driven, and results-oriented Marketing & Sales Manager to lead the marketing strategy across its portfolio of luxury safari lodges to start immediately.

This is a fully remote position suited to an experienced hospitality marketing professional with a proven ability to increase brand awareness, drive direct bookings, and grow occupancy through innovative marketing and sales initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the reservations team, travel trade partners, and management to strengthen the group's market presence and deliver measurable business growth.

REQUIREMENT:
  • RSA  legal residence essential
  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a marketing and sales role within the hospitality or tourism industry
  • Proven track record of increasing occupancy and driving measurable sales growth
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, SEO, email marketing, content creation, and online advertising
  • Experience managing website content and digital campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance and ROI
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software advantageous
  • Valid Driver's License and own reliable vehicle advantageous
  • Candidates should preferably be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, direct bookings, and occupancy
  • Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Manage all social media platforms and digital marketing activities
  • Create engaging content for social media, websites, blogs, email campaigns, and promotional material
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns and maximise return on investment
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare regular marketing reports with actionable insights
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with the Reservations team to promote specials, packages, and seasonal campaigns
  • Build and maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, media partners, and influencers
  • Ensure consistent branding across all marketing channels and properties
  • Support sales initiatives to increase occupancy and revenue growth
  • Travel to the lodges and attend trade meetings when required
PACKAGE:
  • R40,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)
  • Fully remote position
  • 50% Discovery Medical Aid contribution (plan dependent)
  • Travel to the lodges provided when required
LOCATION:

Remote (Candidates preferably based in Johannesburg or Cape Town)
